LAHORE — Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has advised Governor Baligh Ur Rehman to dissolve the Punjab Assembly.
“I, Parvez Elahi, Chief Minister Punjab, hereby advise you to dissolve the provincial assembly of Punjab,” reads the advice sent by the chief minister to the governor on January 12, 2023.
The move comes hours after Parvez Elahi proved he enjoyed the full confidence of the house, with 186 lawmakers voting in his favour.
