A 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck most parts of Pakistan on Friday night.
According to the centre, which measures earthquakes, the epicentre of Friday’s earthquake lies 35 kilometres from the Murghob area in Tajikistan. According to the American Geological Survey, it was a 5.9-magnitude earthquake and its depth was 91.6 kilometres.

The earthquake continued for 30-40 seconds. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Batistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and the federal capital Islamabad were rattled by the earthquake, which struck the region at around 10:30 PM.
There were no immediate reports of human casualties or damage to the infrastructure after the earthquake.
