Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood said on Sunday that students would start returning to schools in phases from Monday (January 18).
Mahmood, who also holds portfolios of professional training, national heritage and culture ministries, took to Twitter to make the announcement on Sunday evening. He tweeted, “Tomorrow classes 9 to 12, O and A level go back to school/ college. Wish them the very best. Their future is our main priority.”

The education minister had extended the closure of all educational institutions for a couple of weeks in the second week of January keeping in view an increase in the number of coronavirus infections across the country.
