PM appoints Mahmood Moulvi special assistant on maritime affairs

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Mahmood Moulvi has been appointed Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on maritime affairs.

An official notification in this regard was issued on Tuesday. Taking to Twitter, Moulvi confirmed his appointment. He also thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan and Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi on his aapointment.

He said, “Alhamdulillah, I have been appointed as Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Maritime Affairs. I would like to thank honourable PM @ImranKhanPTI and Federal Minister of Maritime Affairs @AliHZaidiPTI for honouring me with this position.”

In the last general elections, PTI fielded Mahmood Moulvi against Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqi in the NA-255 constituency. Siddiqui won the seat by bagging 59,807 votes while Mahmood remained runner-up as he got over 50,000 votes.
