MELBOURNE – As Pakistan and England are all set to clash in the T20 World Cup final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia today (Sunday), cricket experts from different countries are evaluating strengths and weaknesses of the two teams before the match.

Sanjay Manjrekar, an Indian cricket commentator and former cricketer who played international cricket for India from 1987 until 1996 as a right-handed middle order batsman, is one of the experts who believes the Pakistani team has some exceptional strengths. He says the Pakistani cricket team has “two of the best T20 fast bowlers in the world” and the “spinners who can bat”.

Manjrekar took to Twitter on Sunday to share his thoughts on the Pakistan cricket team led by Babar Azam. He says that Pakistan have the “top class bowling attack” with pacers like Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf. He says that Shadab Khan is “one of the best T20 all rounders in the world”.

Both Pakistan and India, the two neighbours who are considered arch-rivals in almost every field of life, reached the semi-finals of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 this week. In the first semi-final, Pakistan played New Zealand and beat the Kiwis quite easily to make their way to the final.

In the second semi-final, India played England and suffered a humiliating defeat. As the Rohit Sharma led Indian squad set a 169-run target for England in 20 overs at the loss of 6 wickets, the Jos Buttler led English team achieved this target in 16 overs without losing any wicket.

Pakistan and England are going into the final today amid a lot of excitement among cricket fans and on social media. The match will begin at 1:00pm Pakistan Standard Time.
