MELBOURNE – England beat Pakistan by five wickets in the T20 World Cup final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Australia, on Sunday.
In the first innings, Pakistan set a 138-run target for England. Chasing the target, England achieved the target in 19 overs at the loss of five wickets. English bowler Sam Curran proved to be a game-changer for his team and he was declared Player of the Match.
On the other hand, Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler performed well with the bat and successfully steered their team out of the crisis at the right time. Earlier, England won the toss and chose to bowl first.
