ONTARIO — The 8th Hum Awards ceremony was held in the Canadian city of Ontario on Saturday evening.
Presented by Kashmir Cooking Oil and Banaspati and powered by Mitchell’s Fruit Farms and Milk Fields, the awards ceremony showcased Pakistan’s prominent celebrities, actors, musicians, dancers and some exhilarating performances.
The evening commenced with the national anthem of Pakistan and then performers set the stage on fire.
Here’s a sneak peek of who won what at the Hum Awards 2022:
MOMINA DURAID
Momina Duraid won the Best Drama Serial (Jury) award for Parizaad. The award was presented by Sultana Siddiqui and Danial Kamran.
AHMED ALI AKBAR
Ahmed Ali Akbar won the award for the Best Actor Male (Jury) for Parizaad. The award was presented by Mahira Khan and Mian Shehzad Khalid.
AYEZA KHAN & OSMAN KHALID BUTT
Ayeza Khan and Osman Khalid Butt won the Best Onscreen Couple (Jury) award for Chupke Chupke. The award was presented by Hania Aamir and Farhan Saeed.
SHAHZAD KASHMIRI
Shahzad Kashmiri won the award for the Best Director for Parizaad. The award was presented by Duraid Qureshi and Sania Saeed.
HASHIM NADEEM
Hashim Nadeem won the award for the Best Writer for Parizaad. Momina Duraid accepted the award on Nadeem’s behalf. The award was presented by Nauman Ejaz and Zeba Bakhtiar.
AHSAN KHAN
Ahsan Khan won the award for the Best Actor in a negative role for his performance in Qissa Meherbano Ka. The award was presented by Salava Levin and Osman Khalid Butt.
IQRA AZIZ
Iqra Aziz won the award for the Best Actor Female (Jury) for Raqeeb Se. The award was presented by Nauman Ejaz and Mohammad Shahnawaz.
SHAHZAD SHEIKH
Shahzad Sheikh won the award for the Best Actor in a negative role for his performance in Phaans. The award was presented by Salava Levin & Osman Khalid Butt.
SANIA SAEED
Sania Saeed won the award for the most impactful character in a serial for her performance in Raqeeb Se. The award was presented by Umair Badar and Ayeza Khan.
BUSHRA ANSARI
Bushra Ansari received the Special Award Kashmir Plate. The award was presented by Mian Shehzad Khalid and Varisha Ghazali.
PARIZAAD
Parizaad won the Best Original Soundtrack award. The award was presented by Mubin Ilyas (GFC Fans) and Ahmed Ali Akbar.
ADEEL AFZAL
The very talented Adeel Afzal won the Best Supporting Actor – Male award at the Kashmir 8th HUM Awards for his role in Parizaad. The award was presented by Nomi Ansari and Iqra Aziz.
SABOOR ALI ANSARI
Saboor Ali Ansari won the Best Supporting Actor – Female award at the Kashmir 8th HUM Awards. The award was presented by Aliya Shabbir (Habib Oil) and Urwa Hussain.
MOMIN SAQIB
Momin Saqib won the Best New Sensation Male award for his performance in Raqs E Bismil. The award was presented by Adeel Husain and Komal Meer.
ARSLAN NASEER
Arslan Naseer won the Best New Sensation Male award for his performance in Chupke Chupke. The award was presented by Adeel Husain and Komal Mir.
ZAVIYAR EJAZ
Zaviyar Ejaz won the Best New Sensation Male award for his performance in Qissa Meherbano Ka. The award was presented by Adeel Husain and Komal Mir.
AYMEN SALEEM
Aymen Saleem won the Best New Sensation Female award for her performance in Chupke Chupke. The award was presented by Shehzad Sheikh.
PERFORMANCE AWARDS
Performance Award for 9PM slot went to Zainab Shabbir and Mirza Zain Baig starrer Yaar Na Bichray. The award was presented by Bilal Ashraf and Anoushay Abbasi.
Performance Award – Soap went to the Ali Abbas and Komal Meer starrer Wafa Bemol. The award was presented by Kashif Majeed (Mitchell’s) and Saboor Ali Ansari.
Drama serial Ehd e Wafa featuring Ahad Raza Mir, Osman Khalid Butt, Ahmed Ali Akbar, Zara Noor Abbas and Alizeh Shah won the Performance Award 2020. The award was presented by Zara Nooor Abbas and Syeda Faryal Ali.
Imran Ashraf and Iqra Aziz starrer Ranjha Ranjha Kardi won the Performance Award 2019 at the Kashmir 8th HUM Awards. The award was presented by Imran Ashraf and Syeda Faryal Ali.
PERFORMANCES
Ali Rehman Khan and Yasir Hussain kick-started the evening with a hilarious and energy packed opening act.
Later, Zara Noor Abbas and Urwa Hocane brought a classical and alluring performance on the stage of Kashmir 8th HUM Awards.
Pakistan’s superstar Atif Aslam brought a rocking performance on stage while Ahmad Ali Butt entertained the audience with a hilarious segment called Papa Butt G – not your ordinary paparazzi!!
Mahira Khan mesmerised the audience through a powerful performance on stage at the Kashmir 8th HUM Awards.
Azaan Sami Khan gave a melodious and beautiful performance, while Hania Aamir and Farhan Saeed set the stage ablaze with their outstanding performance at the Kashmir 8th HUM Awards.
HOSTS
Ushna Shah and Hareem Farooq looked absolutely gorgeous on stage as hosts at the mega awards ceremony. Later, Ahsan Khan, Ali Rehman Khan and Yasir Hussain too acted as hosts.
Canadian MPs Iqra Khalid, Salma Zahid, Shafqat Ali and Ahmed Hussen, Minister of Housing and Diversity and Inclusion attended the Kashmir 8th HUM Awards 2022 ceremony as special guests.
