The funeral prayers of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan chief Allama Khadim Rizvi will be offered today (Saturday) at Minar-e-Pakistan at 11am.
The TLP chief breathed his last yesterday after a brief illness. He was brought to Lahore’s Shaikh Zayed Hospital as his health condition got worsened. The doctors at the hospital said that Khadim Rizvi was brought dead. A large number of party workers and followers reached the cleric’s residence after his death.
An emergency meeting was held between the administration and TLP leadership including heirs of Khadim Rizvi for making foolproof arrangements at Minar-e-Pakistan. It was decided in the meeting that body of Rizvi to be placed at Azadi Chowk flyover for funeral prayer. Body will be brought to the venue either by using helicopter or through an ambulance. After the funeral, Khadim Rizvi will be buried at Madrassa Rehmatallil Alameen in Lahore.
