Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Chairman Fazlur Rehman announced on Tuesday that the anti-government alliance would hold its December 13 public meeting at Minar-e-Pakistan at all costs.

Talking to the media after a meeting of the PDM, an alliance of 11 opposition political parties currently trying to topple the federal government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Fazl ruled out any dialogue with the government.

On this occasion, Fazl asked federal and provincial lawmakers of all PDM member parties to submit resignations to their party chiefs by December 31. He said that PDM would announce wheel-jam and shutter-down strikes after December 31.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz accompanied Fazlur Rehman to the media talk.
