ISLAMABAD – As lawlessness prevails in Pakistan and even top judges are heard telling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders to surrender to the pressure, PTI leader Maleeka Bokhari quit the party on Thursday.

A former member of the National Assembly and a parliamentary secretary, Maleeka Bokhari condemned the May 9 violence and said she wanted to give time to her family and profession.

“I condemn the events that transpired on May 9. For every Pakistani, the events that took place on May 9 are very painful,” Bokhari said at a press conference in Islamabad.
